Studies have shown that most people spend 90% of their time in indoor environments. Indoor air quality (IAQ) issues impact the lives of people across the globe. Problems with poor air quality in buildings and homes can result in health concerns, liability issues, lost productivity, and decreased property values.
IAQ problems in non-industrial buildings such as homes, schools and offices are often caused by complex, inter-related issues. Diagnosing and fixing the sources of poor IAQ may require the professional expertise of one or more consultants or contractors. It is important that individuals be highly qualified to fully investigate, identify and/or mitigate the total problem according to recognized industry standards and guidelines. Verification of the effectiveness of mold remediation, should be conducted by an equally qualified third-party consultant.
ECA had done extensive training in Indoor Air Quality and Building Science. We are certified by the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) and the American Indoor Air Quality Council (IAQ Council) and follow standards developed by the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO). All laboratory analysis is done by an independent laboratory accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program for fungal direct examination of spore trap, bulk, and surface samples and culture analysis and the State of California Department of Health Services Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP).
To avoid any potential conflict of interest, ECA does not provide mold remediation services. If extensive growths of mold are found, we will recommend that you contact an independent remediation firm for professional removal.
